Part of the fun in helping to put great events like this together is when you can think about the little things that will add to the spirit and enjoyment of the event.
The room is going to look awesome – with a red and silver theme for the table centre pieces and the gift bags for our incredible speakers and Honoured Women.
Each of them will receive a small gift of jewellery to commemorate their participation in the event. Here are a couple of pictures of some of our choices.
With white linen table cloths on each of the guest’s tables, we have selected some lovely red and silver glass dishes to provide bright, uplifting centre pieces – furnished with cinnamon sticks. Thinking about Perth’s winter weather – we will have sugarless lollies and also lemon and eucalyptus drop for those who are suffering the winter chills.

Red and silver gift bags for our speakers, Honoured Women and panelists means they will be easy to find for networking
You will see where our speakers, honoured women and our panel are sitting on the day, because their places will be highlighted with one of the lovely red and silver gift bags – so make sure you make yourself known to them.
For each of our participants, a special gift – in line with our red and silver theme. A lovely business card holder, for each of you, so you can network, swap cards and make great connections on the day.
You have no excuse, ladies! Bring lots of business cards and network like there is no tomorrow!

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
BOOK YOUR TICKET ONLINE AND BRING A FRIEND FOR FREE!
We know that times are tough – and we have put together an outstanding event for the Perth Event on July 30, 2011 at the Good Earth Hotel, with a great range of speakers and topics for a day of networking, sharing ideas and building new alliances.
You can never, never network too often or too widely.
It’s the strength of my own network that has made this special announcement happen. Yesterday, I was a guest of Peter Taliangis at a breakfast workshop presented by Richard Dore, Managing Director of Proteus Leadership. It was an inspiring workshop and I have drawn on Richard’s presentation for my next “Networking With Lesley” column for the August edition of the Swan Magazine. Here is part of that article:
Richard Dore’s advice to “Fess It Up and Fix It” was an engaging session on empowering staff to respond to customer’s issues and fix them, rather than escalate them; that good customer service pays off and teaching staff how to provide good service is an investment rather than a cost. Empower them, he said, and then get out of the way while they get on with it.
Networking is a great way to learn new things, get ideas on how to review what is going on in your own business and meeting people who can become a good resource for you. I recommend it!
