Last night, I dreamed of my daughter, Annette. It was May 2011 and I was in Toronto on a six week trip around the US and Canada, meeting family and friends from Twitter and LinkedIn. My dream was not surprising, with Mother’s Day only a few days away, and Pauline and I had met for a drink at the Pic Nic Bar in Toronto after she finished work. We talked about the last time I saw Annette – and how happy she was.
Her face was bright and open and she laughed a lot. It was a good day. Robbie and I were so glad to see her.
In my dream, she and I were sailing together on the QEII – a journey of fun and luxury. I had places to go and things to do, but we played ‘hookey’ together. We had somehow gotten off the ship and had to come back on board through the crew quarters.
We laughed a lot. It was a good dream and I woke, glad to have been close to her. Family matters.
